The Dhammapada asserts that the mind shapes all actions and experiences. Serenity in thought leads to happiness. The series of artworks is a quest for inner peace and a connection with my father. Mark-making serves as an exploration towards calmness and bonding, capturing a moment in time. Despite cognitive challenges in communication, perhaps I could seek to preserve the warmth of togetherness?
This is an experimental installation and collaborative piece of art and sound by teacher-artist Sok Hui and teacher-musician Ji Heng. Ji Heng’s r _ m _ m b _ r, a sound installation, is a response to Sok Hui’s Taming the Mind.
